Your Presence Is My Present:Introducing Key Players Connect: The Remix-New Blog. New Strategy. Same Purpose.

Today is my birthday.

Birthdays have a way of making us pause, reflect, and take inventory of what truly matters. As I reflect on another year of life, I am reminded that one of the greatest gifts I have received is not something that can be wrapped, purchased, or placed on a shelf.

It is your presence.

Whether you have been a longtime reader, an occasional visitor, someone who shared a post, offered feedback, challenged a perspective, or simply spent a few moments reading my thoughts, thank you.

Your presence is my present.

Over time, I noticed a decline in readership. Rather than viewing that as a disappointment, I chose to view it as an invitation to reflect. It caused me to rethink not only the content I was sharing, but also the conversations I was creating.

I began asking myself:

  • Am I writing what truly matters?

  • Am I creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue?

  • Am I sharing enough of the perspectives, questions, and observations that continuously challenge my own thinking?

  • Am I giving readers something worth engaging with?

After much reflection and more than a few strategy sessions, I arrived at a simple conclusion:

The purpose of this blog has never changed.

What needs to change is the strategy.

So today, on the date of my birth, I am giving this blog a rebirth.

Welcome to:

Key Players Connect: The Remix

New Blog. New Strategy. Same Purpose.

Going forward, this space will include a broader range of personal and professional perspectives, thoughts, observations, questions, lessons learned, and conversations worth having.  I will monitor readership to determine frequency.

Some topics may be inspired by my professional experiences.

Some may stem from current events.

Some may emerge from social media debates.

Some may be sparked by discussions with colleagues, friends, or clients.

Some may be reflections on leadership, business, faith, technology, relationships, community engagement, or life itself.

And some may simply be questions that I believe are worth exploring.

In other words, don't be surprised by the eclectic nature of the content.

Not every topic will represent a personal experience, challenge, opinion, or circumstance in my life. Sometimes I may simply be exploring an idea, examining a trend, questioning conventional wisdom, or inviting discussion around an issue that deserves more thoughtful consideration.

This blog is not intended to tell people what to think.

It is intended to encourage people to think.

I welcome your perspectives.

I welcome your agreements.

I welcome your disagreements.

I welcome respectful debate.

I welcome thoughtful conversation.

Because I believe that growth often occurs when people are willing to examine ideas from viewpoints other than their own.

With that in mind, let me introduce the type of conversation you can expect from The Remix First Topic is:

The AI Contradiction From My Perspective: I view AI as a Hot Topic Currently

One of the most fascinating contradictions I see today involves Artificial Intelligence.

Organizations increasingly rely on AI to identify candidates, screen resumes, conduct assessments, evaluate qualifications, and even participate in interviewing processes.

At the same time, candidates are often criticized or viewed with suspicion when they use AI to assist with their own preparation, communication, or job search activities. I was inspited to write this as I literally just read a LinkedIn post where someone advised applicants to never use AI to write an email concerning a job.

I find that contradictory.

We are encouraged to become AI literate.

We are told AI skills are essential to future success.

Businesses are investing heavily in AI adoption. Companies recruit, assess and often interview using AI,

Yet in some cases, candidates appear to be punished for embracing the very technology they are being encouraged to learn.

How can AI be considered innovation when employers use it but viewed as a shortcut when candidates do?

Where is the line between leveraging technology and overreliance on technology?

Is the issue really AI, or is it authenticity? What do you think?

I don't claim to have the answers.

I simply believe these are important questions worth discussing.

And that is exactly what Key Players Consultancy: The Remix is designed to do.

To ask questions.

To challenge assumptions.

To invite conversation.

To offer different perspectives.

To encourage thoughtful dialogue.

And hopefully, along the way, enlighten someone, inspire someone, comfort someone, or simply help someone see a situation from a different angle.

For those of you who would like to continue the conversation privately, I invite you to email me directly at:

I would genuinely welcome your thoughts, perspectives, experiences, questions, and feedback.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for contributing.

Thank you for engaging.

Thank you for helping shape these conversations.

And on my birthday, thank you for being my present.

With gratitude,

Cameil D. Coleman
